Hua Hin Brings Community Together with “Hua Hin Creates Happiness” Festival
Hua Hin City Municipality recently hosted the “Hua Hin Creates Happiness – Healthy Hua Hin People” festival, a lively event designed to promote community health, wellness, and environmental care. The festival brought together hospitals, schools, local organizations, and residents to share knowledge and raise awareness about healthier living.
The event was held at The Kaset Hotel and officially opened by Mayor Nopporn Wutthikul, joined by Deputy Mayors Phailin Kongphan and Bussaba Choksuchat, Municipal Clerk Jeerawat Phramanee, and representatives from Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin, Anantarak Nursing School, the Hua Hin Lions Club, community enterprises, and municipal health departments. Nearly 300 participants attended, including members from 42 community committees.
A Festival of Health and Learning
The festival featured engaging exhibitions and interactive booths that offered practical information and free services on:
- preventive health care and medical check-ups,
- nutrition and healthy diets,
- first aid training,
- therapeutic massage,
- and sustainable environmental practices.
Organizations such as Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin, the Hua Hin Volunteer Environmental Protection Network, the Anoma Health Massage Group, and the municipality’s Public Health and Environment Division played a key role in leading activities.
Strategic Health Initiatives for Hua Hin
Mayor Nopporn highlighted that the initiative was supported by funding from the Budget Bureau for the 2025 fiscal year, as part of a national strategy to strengthen local administrations in line with royal initiatives on public health.
Hua Hin City Municipality has been given the responsibility to implement two major projects:
- The Mobile Health Check-up Project, under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Walailak, bringing medical services directly to the community.
- The Model Community Development Project, focused on promoting good health practices and improving urban environmental hygiene.
Building a Healthier Hua Hin Together
With strong collaboration between municipal departments, hospitals, schools, and community networks, these projects aim to identify health risks, encourage preventive care, and improve environmental standards across Hua Hin.
Events like “Hua Hin Creates Happiness” demonstrate how local government and community partners can work hand-in-hand to create a healthier, more sustainable future for everyone in the city.
