Hua Hin Food Festival 2025: A Culinary Celebration by the Sea

Get ready for one of the most exciting food events in Thailand – the Hua Hin Food Festival 2025. This year’s festival will take place from 22 to 24 August at Baan Hua Don Beach in Khao Takiab, bringing together chefs, food lovers, and travelers from across the country.

Chefs’ Club Leads Festival Preparations

The Cha-am – Hua Hin Chefs’ Club held its first official meeting on 5 August at The Kaset Hotel, setting plans in motion for the highly anticipated event. Attendees included representatives from the Hua Hin Municipality Tourism Promotion Office, the Hua Hin – Cha-am Tourism Association, the Prachuap Khiri Khan tourism sector, and Deputy Mayor Bussaba Chokesuchart, who joined on behalf of Hua Hin’s Mayor.

The festival is a joint effort between Hua Hin Municipality, the private sector, and the Chefs’ Club. This year is particularly special as it coincides with the 88th anniversary of Hua Hin’s founding as a municipality. Visitors can expect not only world-class food but also cultural activities, live entertainment, and a spectacular light and sound showalong the beach.

Festival Highlights and Competitions

During the meeting, Chef Boonyuen Phoollap, President of the Chefs’ Club, welcomed members and outlined the event’s program.

• Press Conference & Signature Dish: On 15 August at 4pm, the official press launch will be held at Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin. Organizers will present the festival’s showpiece – 88 pans of stir-fried prawns with salt and chili, weighing 88 kilograms, to celebrate Hua Hin’s 88th year.

• Seafood Modern Cuisine Competition: Teams of chefs from Thailand’s North, Central, South, and Eastern regions will showcase their creativity with seafood-inspired dishes.

• Culinary Contests: From a Som Tum (papaya salad) showdown to a fruit and vegetable carving challenge and a bartender competition, there will be plenty of action for foodies and spectators alike.

• Chef Lounge Zone: A special area will be created to welcome VIP guests, renowned chefs from across Thailand, and festival sponsors.
